Beat The Intro Reveal The Artists Most Commonly Confusing Fans

Beat The Intro – the ultimate music game – has launched its Android
app, inviting fans of all ages and musical tastes to test out their Music IQ, earning bragging rights to the best ears in music! Initially available on iOS, the game is now available to even more fans around the world and has revealed which artists confuse fans the most.

Beat The Intro plays a short music clip and offers the player three choices to identify the artist and title within a time limit. The faster they identify the track, the more they will score accumulating points for their Music IQ and increasing their musical prowess.

Since launching in April Beat the Intro has been testing everyone’s musical knowledge across multiple genres, which means Beat The Intro can now reveal which artists music fans most commonly were unable to identify.
Surprisingly, nearly half of players (46 per cent) couldn’t tell the difference between Toto ‘Africa’ with Bonnie Tyler ‘Total Eclipse of the Heart’. When listening to hip hop and rap, 60 per cent failed to identify Aesop Rock from A$AP Rocky! Lastly, rock fans mixed up their Eagles of Death Metal with
Queens of the Stone Age, with 70 percent confusing the two.

The app comes preloaded with a number of packs to get started with, covering every genre of music and ensuring there is a category for everyone to get involved with. Know everything about rock but nothing about hip-hop? There are packs for virtually every music taste going – ranging from 80s, 90s, through to today’s current hits, and so much more.

With millions of licensed songs to get stuck into pop fans can try their luck to identify tracks such as Justin Timberlake ‘Can’t Stop The Feeling!’, Shawn Mendes ‘Stitches’ or One Direction ‘What Makes You Beautiful’, while more discerning music boffins challenge themselves with tracks like Bloc Party
‘Helicopter’, Owl City ‘Fireflies’ or Disclosure ‘Latch’.

Beat The Intro is currently available globally on iOS phones and tablets, and now Android devices.

The app is available for free from Google Play or Apple’s App Store, perfectly combining music and gaming, the app offers players an exciting way to rediscover tracks they once loved and also new ones.
